Frequently Asked Questions

  • Who can take this qualification?

    If you have a level 3 dog grooming qualification from iPET Network, City & Guilds, OCN, or the ICMG CAPG or 2 years of full-time grooming experience then you are eligible to join.

  • Where will I study?

    This is an online course so you can study wherever is comfortable for you. You will need a computer or tablet and a good Wi-Fi connection to watch the videos and attend the tutorials.

  • I'm going on holiday in the middle of the course, is that a problem?

    Whilst it's not ideal, everything is recorded so you can catch-up when you're back.

  • How many dogs will I need to groom?

    Your assessment is based on one groom at the end of the study period BUT we strongly recommend you try to plan in 2 wool coats each week for practice.

  • How much does the course cost?

    The all-inclusive price of the course is £1,200. Your course place is secured with a non-refundable deposit of £600. The £600 balance is due when you start your course.

  • What's included in the price?

    All online teaching, weekly live tutorials, access to a private Facebook group to receive direct feedback on your training grooms, student folder with guidance and planning downloads, iPET Network qualification registration fee.

  • How long does it take?

    Once registered your course runs for 12-16 weeks including breaks. You receive all instruction, tutorials, and support to complete your assessments during this time.

  • What if I cannot complete my assessment?

    Once registered your assessment needs to be submitted to iPET Network for validation within 10 months. Exceptions to this will be taken on a case-by-case basis. Your tutor will guide you through the assessment process.

Education Director Pammie Carmichael-Hogg

Pammie Carmichael-Hogg is a Certified Master Groomer through the International Professional Groomers Inc (IPG) and is honored to be the first person in the United Kingdom to graduate from the prestigious Starwood Arts of Dog Grooming School (Thailand). Pammie is also the first international student to study and pass the Theory of Angles in Korean Grooming with Mrs. Suk-Hee Soo Lee in the famous Dolall Grooming School, Korea. Past board member of ICMG (UK). Pammie has gained recognition in the pet grooming industry as the creator of Asian Fusion grooming, as well as an international educator, speaker, demonstrator, and grooming judge. Pammie is an enthusiastic teacher and an entertaining speaker. She enjoys leading hands-on workshops and mentoring other stylists using her unique brand of teaching methods, to those who want to improve their skills for the competition ring or for daily working practice. She has traveled extensively internationally helping and teaching stylists. Pammie teaches from her Academy in Doncaster, England. Pammie is a published author and featured artist in pet trade and grooming industry magazines both in the UK and internationally and is the organiser of the first GroomAsia in 2017. She lives with her husband, and 5 dogs and is the proud co-owner of Asian Fusion Grooming Ltd and designer of the Pammie range of superior grooming scissors.

Academy Tutor Stephanie O'Connor

Stephanie began her career as a Veterinary nurse while developing her grooming skills in parallel. She opened her bespoke salon almost 25 years ago and during that time has also completed the Level 3 Diploma in Dog Styling through City & Guilds and more recently gained her Internationally Certified Master Groomer qualification through IPG. Steph is passionate about the unique Asian Fusion grooming style and has developed her skill set by completing comprehensive training with Pammie Carmichael-Hogg and the Dolall Grooming School in South Korea. I have been twice nominated for Asian Fusion Groomer of the Year and was invited to judge the Asian Fusion group in 2021 Groomers Got Talent competition in Belfast. I enjoy competing at both open and championship level.
